\"\"<\/a>It is my dream to inspire, shape and encourage people so that they can live their lives strongly and live their faith joyfully. I do what I can to achieve this: I write books and read from them. I hold seminars and lectures. And I coach and accompany people through change processes. I do the best I can - and am delighted when it brings about change in people's lives.<\/p>\n

However, the most formative change often happens when you spend a few days or weeks with a person and experience them in everyday life. When you can witness how he or she solves problems and shapes life. And discover completely new ways for yourself.
\nI've been dreaming about it for over 12 years, Room<\/strong> to enable people to do just that for a limited time: To be with me for a while and to learn with me and from me. A few days or maybe even weeks.<\/p>\n

My current flat is too small for this. The living room is a walk-through room and I need the office for work. It's difficult to let someone live with me for longer. A few years ago, I found the perfect flat...and couldn't afford it. I cried bitterly when others moved into it. But it just wasn't possible. A second opportunity to realise the dream also failed. The dream seemed dead.<\/p>\n

Then in autumn I read about houseboats. I had always dreamed of living on the water. I find it so beautiful, inspiring and calming. And houseboats cost a fraction of the price of a flat of the same size on land. By \u201echance\u201c - an aside over breakfast with friends in Salzburg - I met a very ingenious, dedicated, professional boat builder who was keen to work on a project with me.<\/p>\n

And then I found Ebay my ship<\/strong>. An old torpedo boat from the GDR navy. Big enough to live on, hold small seminars and accommodate guests without stepping on each other's toes. The basic substance is ok. This was confirmed to me by an experienced captain, an expert and the boat builder.<\/p>\n

After the purchase, the ship moves - from Hamburg to the shipyard near Berlin. Then it will be welded, soldered, renovated and rebuilt for a year. If everything goes as planned, I can move in in spring\/summer 2014, live there myself and organise life with others.<\/p>\n

Of course, I'm now also facing major challenges - primarily of a financial nature. Over the next two weeks, I need to raise a good 54,000 euros to finance the first instalment for the ship, transport and building materials. Then monthly instalments until it's finished.<\/p>\n

- through loans:<\/strong> I'm not keen on paying a bank almost 10% interest. Apart from the fact that they wouldn't give me that much money. - through participation: <\/strong>I have around 6000 hours of work ahead of me. Some of it has to be done by professionals, but a lot of it - like scraping rust or painting - can be done by anyone. So I'm looking for professionals (plumbing, electrical, woodwork, tiling), talented craftsmen and people with a heart to help, who can contribute a few hours, days or weeks.<\/p>\n

- through encouragement: <\/strong>It's a big project. I'm looking forward to it...and I also have weak knees from time to time. That's why I'm very grateful for encouraging words and prayers.<\/p>\n

It is very moving for me to see a dream that has been shattered twice now come to life again. I am touched, overwhelmed and excited to see how everything develops.<\/p>\n
