How would you react?\u00a0<\/p><p>Most of us would probably say: \"No, thanks. I'm not doing that to myself!\"\u00a0<\/p><p>Imagine if the same person put the same amount of sugar in a bottle, added some fruit juice and water and then offered it to you. What would it be like?\u00a0<\/p><p>Millions of people say \"yes\" to this mix every day. Many lemonades, soft drinks and colas contain more than a handful of sugar per litre. And we ingest it - usually without thinking. Take a look here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fuersie.de\/gesundheit\/abnehmen\/galerie\/ueberblick-zucker-in-getraenken#page1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><strong>Sugar in drinks<\/strong><\/a><\/p><p>It is good - especially with regard to the immune system - to reflect on your own drinking behaviour. There are so many good reasons to drink enough and, above all, to drink well.<\/p><h2>Drinking for bodily functions<\/h2><p>We need fluids for our bodies to function properly. I once experienced dehydration on a hike in the desert: nausea and headaches due to a lack of water. This is no pleasure. Enough water is good for the body and even smoothes the skin a little.\u00a0<\/p><h2>Drinking for the immune system<\/h2><p><span><span>Those who <b>Immune system<\/b> strengthen, should at least <strong>two litres of water<\/strong> <b>Drink<\/b>. <\/span><\/span><\/p><h2>Drinking for the mucous membranes<\/h2><p>If you want to prevent colds in winter, you should definitely drink plenty of fluids. This keeps the mucous membranes active and protects against the penetration of pathogens.<\/p><h2>What should I drink?<\/h2><p>I think we can all agree that drinking is important. With your drinking behaviour, you can help to ensure that your immune system is not<\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>is deliberately weakened (e.g. by consuming less sugar, caffeine or alcoholic beverages),<\/li><li>is supported (by sufficient fluids),<\/li><li>and strengthened (by drinks that additionally boost your immune system).<\/li><\/ol><p>The insidious thing about many drinks is that they provide something else in addition to the liquid: calories, additives and stimulants that do us more harm than good.\u00a0<\/p><p>That's why a more conscious approach to drinks offers the best chance of rapid and relatively simple changes for the body, immune system and energy levels - you'll find some suggestions below.\u00a0<\/p><h2><b>Avoid sugary drinks<\/b><\/h2><p>As already mentioned, many drinks contain large amounts of harmful sugar. This also applies to alcohol. This poses various challenges that your body has to overcome and favours illness.<\/p><h2><b>Alternatives to sugary drinks\u00a0<\/b><\/h2><ol><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Water and herbal teas<\/b>. Pure water. If you prefer, you can take water that has been enriched with extra oxygen - this also energises you, but comes at a price. When it comes to herbal teas, you can also choose teas with positive side effects, such as improving the appearance of your skin or promoting detoxification.\u00a0<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Lemon water: <\/b>Juice of half a lemon in a large glass of water - drunk before a meal quenches thirst and lowers blood sugar levels by approx. 10 % - which means that less fat from food is stored on the hips. It is best to use fresh organic lemons. If this is not possible, it is best to use good natural lemon juice. Caution: The acid attacks the teeth somewhat. Lemon essential oil is gentler.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Fruit spritzers:<\/b> If you don't want to miss out on the flavour of drinks, diluted fruit spritzers are a good choice. I like fruit juice concentrates (pure fruit juice without additives), which I can dilute to my liking. Caution: Ready-made fruit spritzers available in shops often contain a lot of sugar.\u00a0<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Kefir, water kefir, very long fermented kombucha, bread drink, ayran: <\/b>These drinks can also be an alternative - not to everyone's taste, but very healthy.\u00a0<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Sleeping teas, relaxation exercises and magnesium:<\/b> Rituals help to relax in the evening: reflect on the day and write down three things that you have done well or for which you are grateful.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Salads: <\/b>If you eat lettuce and herbs, you consume a lot of water - many types of lettuce consist of 90% water. This water contains many minerals. If you eat a lot of greens, you absorb the minerals - and need less other water intake.<\/li><\/ol><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<\/p><p><strong>EXTRA TIP:\u00a0 <\/strong>Your body loses water overnight and becomes dehydrated. You should make up for this loss of fluid right at the start of the day in order to get all your body functions going.
