It is often accompanied by uncertainty and questions such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do I like the coach?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does the coach meet me at eye level?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How does the coach respond to my concerns?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does the coach have the experience and expertise to support me in my specific case?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Am I \"in good hands\" with this coach?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do I want to entrust my concerns to this coach?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I know that the first step often takes a lot of effort. You don't necessarily want to confide in a stranger about a personal issue. Perhaps there are also difficult topics that are not easy to talk about. Or you may wonder whether the financial investment is worth it and how long the process might take.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some people are nervous before making such a decision and worry because they don't know what exactly to expect, whether coaching is the right thing. The prerequisite for a successful coaching process is only given if the coachee has the feeling that they can trust the coaching and the coach. You can only judge this once you have got to know each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a coach, I feel the same way. It is important for me to know whether I can work with the coachee.  After all, it's not just about one hour of coaching, but about a process and a longer period of time that we organise and spend together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initial meeting is a helpful tool here. It is at the beginning of the coaching process and serves to establish a basis for decision-making for future collaboration. During the initial consultation, we may both be able to build a bridge for you that will make your decision in favour of coaching easier:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can clear up uncertainties, questions about the process can be answered, you get an impression of me (and I of you, so that we both gain clarity as to whether a coaching process is on the cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An initial consultation with me is <strong>without obligation and free of charge.<\/strong> Its primary purpose is to get to know each other personally and to assess whether a common basis for cooperation is possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would like to tell you a little about an initial consultation with me so that you can get an idea of what to expect. Of course, every conversation is a little different because every person is a little different, but the main features of an initial consultation are similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>An initial consultation lasts 30 minutes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You tell me your topic and the desired goal. We will not (yet) work on a topic in this conversation. I will think about how we can find the way to your goal and work with you to assess your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who is an hour of coaching for?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a specific emotional or practical problem that you want to solve with coaching - then book a coaching session directly. The initial consultation is not intended for this case. The initial consultation is such a non-binding test. But we won't commit ourselves forever.
