In the interviews afterwards, they\u2019ve often said: \u201eThat\u2019s in the past. Now let\u2019s look ahead.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Of course, I cannot judge just how genuine and profound that composure was.\u00a0 Nevertheless, I was struck by the fact that they had clearly got into the habit of not dwelling endlessly on \u201ewhat if\u2026\u201c scenarios. They remained focused on what they could influence: the present and the future.
