Yes!<\/p>\n

What new things have I discovered about life?<\/p>\n

Problems are like dandelions - if you solve one, 10 new ones follow!<\/strong> Yesterday I was on board with an architect friend of mine. Actually, we \"only\" wanted to plan, but then he was allowed to lend a hand, as the 100 screws that the flap on the roof, through which the heating has to be removed, could only be opened by two strong people working together.<\/p>\n

During planning, we solved one problem - the design for the doors in the entrance area - in a sensible way. That's a relief. There is now a clear, coherent plan.<\/p>\n

Then we thought about a few more unresolved issues (sewage, stairs, window insulation) - and the more we talked to the boat builder currently on board, the more new problems arose. One after the other. Problems are okay if you have the capacity and resources to solve them. There's always a solution. I'm just surprised at how many things you have to think about at the same time.<\/p>\n

What new things have I discovered about myself?<\/h3>\n

I usually like solving problems - if there are too many at once and I lose track, then I find it stressful. And of course it's clear that solving the new problems will also put a strain on the budget (unless we find ingeniously cheap solutions!). This morning I spoke to my God about it and told him: \"Lord, this is all getting out of hand...\"<\/em> I heard him answer with a clarity that I rarely hear in his speech: \"But it's still in my hands.\" <\/em><\/p>\n

I am somewhat reassured ...and excited....<\/p>\n

On \"2013-10-24<\/a>\u00a0The picture on the left shows the seminar room - the rear wall is already insulated and the platform has already been started. In the end, this will be a kind of grandstand like an amphitheatre where you can sit during seminars and events.<\/p>\n

PS: Two hours later: Well, if that wasn't cool:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0On the way back from an appointment, I had a strong inner impulse to take a different route rather than the usual one. There I saw a delivery van from the company\u00a0Busglas24.de<\/a>. I thought: buses are made of metal. The discs that are used there should also be suitable for ships. Just as I got off my bike to write down the internet address, the driver came along. I asked him a question straight away. He said that of course it would be possible - only their panes - special safety glass for buses - would certainly be too expensive for my purposes (around 900 euros per pane would be a bit much for 20 windows).<\/p>\n

But he said that the principle they use for the buses - no longer with rubber, but with special adhesives that can hold panes weighing up to 120 kilos - should not be a problem for my ship. And the windows glued in this way would insulate far better than windows with rubber seals. He gave me the telephone number of his boss, who I could contact if I had any further questions. And because I'm a woman who likes to get things done, I called him straight away. The result of the friendly conversation: he's coming to the ship on Monday to have a look at it and clarify with me what works and what doesn't! I'm happy for now! One step further! And it seems to be true that God still has it well in hand.<\/p>\n

Three days later:<\/strong> The boss and an employee were on board and took a look. The really cool thing is that the boss has been building ships for several years - so he knows what you have to look out for. That's brilliant.<\/p>\n
