What new things have I discovered about life?<\/h3>\n

When standard solutions (simply welding it shut) aren\u2019t possible, you just have to come up with unconventional ones. At a \u2018wall rail rust hole solution\u2019 meeting, we came up with an unconventional solution. That\u2019s fine too. I\u2019m not particularly keen on problems, but coming up with cool solutions is just good fun.<\/p>\n

What new things have I discovered about myself?<\/h3>\n

I have come to deeply realise just how important and valuable rhythms are for the body and soul. Ever since I discovered the\u00a0Swing concept<\/a>\u00a0As I\u2019ve developed this approach, I\u2019ve come to internalise it more and more. I realise quite quickly which aspects of my life I\u2019m missing when I\u2019ve neglected one or more of them for a while.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, whilst on the underground, I had a look at all the photos from the last three months. It struck me that a lot has happened. Some of it was done by professionals \u2013 things like welding, which I can\u2019t do myself yet \u2013 but most of it was done by me and my friends. It\u2019s been a period of hard work; in some weeks I was at the boat on the other side of Berlin almost every day.<\/p>\n

Now Helge, who\u2019s been a great help to me over the last few weeks, will soon be off again; Bernd\u2019s still in hospital, and Bill, who\u2019s going to fit the heating, is too\u2026 so I can\u2019t really carry on much further. And that\u2019s just as well. Of course, I\u2019ll carry on putting up insulation so it\u2019s cosy in winter\u2026 and I\u2019ll keep thinking things through. But I\u2019m going to allow myself to slow the pace down a bit for three weeks\u2026 I can always pick it up again in December\u2026 once the lecture tours are over, the new windows are in (a firm\u2019s doing that) and it\u2019s cosy and warm with the fire crackling in the wood-burning stove.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
