My word for 2013 is <strong>\u201eA real feat of strength!\u201c.\u00a0<\/strong>This year was a real struggle.<\/p>\n<p>The challenge was to juggle five different jobs<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2013 Publisher<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 Author<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 Coach<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 Speaker<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 shipbuilder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Then there were still a few challenges to overcome<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The flooding of the ship in January<\/li>\n<li>The unexpectedly high shipyard costs<\/li>\n<li>The difficulties involved in transporting the ship<\/li>\n<li>A prolonged period of illness within the publishing team<\/li>\n<li>A really nasty, lingering bout of lumbago<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To cut a long story short: it\u2019s been a whirlwind of experiences and a whirlwind of challenges\u2026 a real feat of strength. I\u2019m grateful that I managed to pull it off\u2026 though it wasn\u2019t down to me alone\u2026 I reckon that over 50 people have lent a hand with the boat so far \u2013 for a few hours, days or even weeks. Over 250 different people have made the build possible in the first place through donations, large and small. Even though I try to do as much as possible on my own \u2013 I could never have done it alone.<\/p>\n<p>And so I am grateful that this year, which has been a real struggle, has been managed so well and is now almost behind me. And I am looking forward to 2014, which is sure to be a bit of a struggle too \u2013 but which I hope will also bring me closer to fulfilling my dreams.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich mich mit einer guten Freundin \u00fcber das Jahr 2013 unterhalten &#8211; welches Wort man wohl nehmen k\u00f6nnte, um es zu beschreiben.
