\"2014-01-25<\/a>A friend recently told me that a tradesman cut himself so badly with a carpet knife that he needed 10 stitches. It made me realise just how much we\u2019ve been spared over the last few months. We\u2019ve been working with carpet knives every day since October to cut the insulation to size. We\u2019ve worn out over 100 blades, but so far nobody\u2019s had an accident.<\/p>\n

That really is something to be grateful for. There was a fall at the shipyard in 2013 and another during the crossing to Berlin. Since the ship arrived in Berlin \u2013 in August 2013 \u2013 nobody has come to any harm. With 1,500 hours of work completed, that is by no means a given. Of course, I make sure safety measures are in place: sturdy shoes with steel toe caps, head protection, work gloves, and so on. Nevertheless, the fact that no one on board has been injured is a real blessing for me. And I ask God to continue to watch over my helpers and me.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
