Peter boasted about how much he<\/em> Jesus loves. Yet when it came down to it, he betrayed him.<\/p>\n

Johannes has been boasting about how much Jesus<\/em> loved him. John remained at Jesus\u2019 side until his death on the cross.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

You can\u2019t build a theology out of that. But what I\u2019ve come to realise is that it isn\u2019t our great love for Jesus \u2013 or even our weak love for him \u2013 that sustains us\u2026 but the knowledge of his deep love for us.<\/p>\n

It is fitting that the Reflection Booklet: God\u2019s Fatherly Love<\/a>, which puts God\u2019s loving promises into personal terms, is now in its fourth edition. I can highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to be touched more deeply by God\u2019s love.<\/p>\n

And I am happy and grateful that, through this devotional booklet, we can play a small part in helping people to be touched by God\u2019s love.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
