\"2014-03-28<\/a>Today I felt like an operating theatre doctor. I had - once again - discovered a spot where rust had not been treated at all on an area of 40 x 80 cm or had simply been painted over in other places. In the seminar room - all pretty much directly at the waterline - i.e. in places where rust is really dangerous. So the rust operation began. I hung on my stomach on the metal beams and worked upside down.<\/p>\n

As I was constantly having to swap tools, I asked Hanna to assist me: \u201eThe rust brush, please!\u201c \u201eNow the vacuum cleaner!\u201c \u201eAnd now the ship's floor oil\u201c \u201eAnd now the brush with the swan neck, please\u201c. Occasionally I laughed and added a \u201esister\u201c: \u201eThe vacuum cleaner please, sister!\u201c<\/p>\n

I always find it hard to believe how someone could work so inaccurately - especially in such critical areas. It just makes me sad. At the same time, I'm glad that the rust operation has been completed at this point.<\/p>\n

\"2014-03-28<\/a>I'm also pleased about a few other milestones. The roof has been derusted - really! And has now been given its first coat of paint. Downstairs in the guest bedrooms, the floor is in and we're currently preparing to fit the portholes. And soon we'll be testing a fire protection system with radio - if that works despite the metal walls, then we could do without laying cables. And finally, the tank in the sleeping area has been freshly painted. It's getting done - one step at a time.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
