I can stay there until the end of July \u2013 any longer wouldn\u2019t be ideal for the boat builder, who needs the space for the other boat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In concrete terms, this means:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All major work should be completed and paid for by the end of July: ventilation, plumbing, electrical work, portholes, external doors and work on the deck.<\/li>\n<li>All major work must be paid for by then.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What costs I can expect:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outstanding mooring fees and electricity charges: \u20ac2,800<\/li>\n<li>Four external doors and installation: \u20ac3,000<\/li>\n<li>Ventilation \u2013 equipment and installation \u20ac8,000\u2013\u20ac10,000<\/li>\n<li>Bathroom fittings (washbasins, showers): \u20ac2,000<\/li>\n<li>Plumbing installation 3000 \u20ac<\/li>\n<li>Electrical work \u2013 materials and installation \u20ac4,000<\/li>\n<li>Flooring (cork, wood) \u20ac3,000<\/li>\n<li>6 interior doors \u20ac2,500<\/li>\n<li>Flooring (cork, wood) \u20ac3,000<\/li>\n<li>Kitchen and kitchenette \u20ac3,000<\/li>\n<li>Electrical appliances (fridge, dishwasher, washing machine\u2026): \u20ac2,000<\/li>\n<li><em>Optional \u2013 if already possible: solar panel system 8\u201310,000\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Total: \u20ac44,300 \u2013 \u20ac48,000 (not including any unforeseen costs! So probably \u20ac50,000+ in total)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I still have a bit of energy left and am doing everything I can to keep the project going. I pitch in myself three afternoons a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) and on Saturdays. And I\u2019m doing everything I can to earn the necessary money: I rent out my bedroom to visitors to Berlin, sell things on eBay, second-hand books on Amazon, publish as many books as possible (which, of course, costs money too!), run seminars, coach people\u2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>But one thing is clear: I can\u2019t tackle this challenge on my own. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>My request to you: please lend a hand! <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shop at <a title=\"Down to Earth Publishing House\" href=\"http:\/\/www.down-to-earth.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Down to Earth<\/a> one:<\/strong> Lots of gifts for yourself and others! Maybe even to stock up. Every penny I earn from this goes towards the ship.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Come along for a few hours or a few days and lend a hand.<\/strong> Anyone with two hands (whether left, right or a mix of both) is welcome. If you know any helpful people and\/or handymen \u2013 tell them about the ship \u2013 and encourage them to come along.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Please donate 5 euros to help us reach our goal.<\/strong> Hundreds of people know me. If everyone who knows me gave me 5 euros, that would cover a significant portion of the costs. 5 euros isn\u2019t much.
