We discussed the work - and costs (!!) for the next two months. In addition to the huge item of rent \/ electricity \/ service for 10 months totalling 8000+ euros, there are also<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wood for the floor in the main room: \u20ac1000<\/li>\n<li>Waterproof wall panels for shower and WC: \u20ac500<\/li>\n<li>Pipes \/ installation material for heating: 2000 \u20ac<\/li>\n<li>Storage tank for hot water from solar and oven: 2500 \u20ac<\/li>\n<li>Pellet stove with water heating: 3000 \u20ac<\/li>\n<li><strong>Total (including labour costs and \u201eodds and ends\u201c): approx. \u20ac 20,000 by the end of February<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I realised that I couldn't actually manage this on my own with the resources available to me (publishing house, coaching, renting out rooms, selling second-hand items). And I got weak-kneed and scared again. Even though I've seen it work out time and time again over the 30 months of construction and God has performed miracles big and small, I'm not really cool in the face of such numbers and challenges.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, before my prayer time, I had the strong inner impulse that I should <a title=\"I am with you - devotional book\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.de\/gp\/product\/386591649X?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1638&amp;creativeASIN=386591649X&amp;linkCode=xm2&amp;tag=downtoearth-21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">\u201eI am with you\u201c<\/a> a devotional book that I usually only pick up very rarely. In the section for today it said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>You are surrounded by a sea of problems, but you live in personal contact with me, your peace: as long as you keep your eyes on me, you are safe. But if you keep your eyes on the countless problems that surround you for too long, you will sink under the weight of your burdens. Just call out \u201eHelp me, Jesus\u201c when you start to sink and I will pull you out. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The biblical passage I quoted touched me once again.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Do not worry about anything! But in all things let your requests be made known to God in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. <span class=\"reftext\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bibeltext.com\/philippians\/4-7.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">7<\/a><\/span><\/em><span class=\"highl\"><em>And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4, 6+7<\/em><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is actually part of the ABCs of faith and our relationship with Jesus: turning our gaze away from what burdens us and towards Him, who loves and cares for us. Thank you, Jesus, for the reminder.
