That means:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paint 150 square metres of wood with linseed oil<\/li>\n<li>then sand smooth by hand<\/li>\n<li>then prime<\/li>\n<li>then delete<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I'm very pleased that a team of several people from the USA is coming to help on Saturday. I'm expecting things to really get moving then. Pictures to follow.<\/p>\n<p>One of the team is a qualified welder. This is a huge gift, because two portholes still have to be fitted below deck and this involves a lot of burning and welding work.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, wood is not super expensive, but it still adds up to quite a bit of \u201ewood\u201c. If you'd like to help pay the bills, I'd be delighted. Gladly via <a title=\"BEtterplace\" href=\"https:\/\/www.betterplace.org\/de\/projects\/12684-heart-of-berlin-das-schiff-wird-umgebaut\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Betterplace.<\/a> then that's a big step forward. Once the ceilings and walls are done, we can turn our attention to the next items on the to-do list until completion - perhaps in the summer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Connecting the washing machine :-)<\/li>\n<li>Installing the hot water storage tank<\/li>\n<li>Install heating<\/li>\n<li>Kitchen in the main room<\/li>\n<li>Finish derusting the decks and paint them several times<\/li>\n<li>Building furniture for the deck<\/li>\n<li>Installing the stairs to the bedrooms<\/li>\n<li>Finish the shower<\/li>\n<li>Lay gas<\/li>\n<li>Laying cork flooring<\/li>\n<li>Installing doors<\/li>\n<li>Finalising the guest bunks<\/li>\n<li>Building a guest kitchen<\/li>\n<li>Wheelhouse windows<\/li>\n<li>Fitting lamps<\/li>\n<li>Install solar panels<\/li>\n<li>1001 odds and ends<\/li>\n<li>Find a berth and bring the ship there<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Celebrate the inauguration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dieser Monat steht unter dem Motto: Holz f\u00fcrs Schiff!
