It's no secret: I love squares.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Maybe that's because my sister, who was 10 years younger, always drew her artwork - here you can see the king, queen and giraffe - on the square pieces of paper that were available in abundance as promotional gifts in our house. Good art is square - I learnt that early on.<\/p>\n

I collected the pictures for her and stuck them in a book for her 18th birthday.<\/p>\n

But apart from my family history, I find squares very aesthetically pleasing and like to choose them as the format for my publications.<\/p>\n

When I decided to summarise the 50+ most important sentences that I have formulated and collected over the course of my life, it was clear that it would be a square.<\/p>\n

In this case, I actually had to try out what worked well to accommodate the text and images. I first cut out the possible formats on pieces of paper, but it wasn't quite right yet. Then the print shop kindly sent me a sample - a dummy. At first, my graphic designer and I thought of 18 x 18 centimetres - but when I held it in my hands, it became clear that the small format would be far too compact for the many pages.<\/p>\n

The white pattern book has now found a place on my sofa. There I collect texts and impulses - sorted according to the 8 categories of Swing - that inspire me to pray and live a good life.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
