Sunshine, coffee with a friend and, to round off the day, an exciting reading at the Hotel Ellington. <\/p>\n<div style=\"float:left; padding-right:10px;\">\n<iframe src=\"http:\/\/rcm-de.amazon.de\/e\/cm?t=downtoearth-21&#038;o=3&#038;p=8&#038;l=as1&#038;asins=3462042149&#038;fc1=000000&#038;IS2=1&#038;lt1=_blank&#038;m=amazon&#038;lc1=0000FF&#038;bc1=000000&#038;bg1=FFFFFF&#038;f=ifr\" style=\"width:120px;height:240px;\" scrolling=\"no\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>I\u2019m not really a fan of crime novels. But \u201e<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dasgrossetier.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">The big animal<\/a>\u201eI really enjoyed this crime novel set in the world of finance and the stock market. It\u2019s clever, gripping and, in places, quite humorous. The fact that it\u2019s set in Berlin is, of course, an added bonus.\u201d.<br \/>\nThe press is already hailing the author Veit M. Etzold as the new Dan Brown. Given a certain penchant for gripping conspiracy theories, the comparison may well be apt; however, he does not share Brown\u2019s openly displayed aversion to the Church and faith.<br \/>\nThis crime novel isn\u2019t just gripping \u2013 it even throws in the odd sentence that makes you stop and think for a while. For example: <em>To be and to become \u2013 these are the most important things in life.<\/em>. Or: <em>Strangely enough, the people who had given her the most support were those who accepted that everything changes. <\/em> Of course, to discover these gems, you needn\u2019t be so caught up in the plot that you can\u2019t stop to reflect. Which, in this case, is really difficult. But you could always read it twice.<br \/>\nRead aloud by Franziska Pigulla, who also narrated the audiobook, it was a double treat.
