I\u2019ve got the book now How I get things sorted <\/a>I\u2019ve read half of it and learnt quite a bit already.
\nI found the following advice particularly helpful:
\n\u2013 Whenever you look at a project or a task, immediately ask yourself: What\u2019s the next step I can take?.
\n- All <\/strong>, really, write down absolutely everything you need to do on a list that you go through regularly. Not just the important things, but absolutely everything that pops into your head that you ought to do. That way, you can clear your mind for the tasks ahead.
\nExceptions:<\/em>
\n\u2013 Appointments. These go in the diary
\n\u2013 Things that take less than two minutes. I\u2019ll sort them out straight away.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been doing this for a week now and I can really feel what a relief it is not to have to keep thinking \u201eI mustn\u2019t forget that\u201c\u2026 but instead to know that everything\u2019s been recorded.<\/p>\n

Last week, I made a note of everything I\u2019d ticked off the list to see how much I\u2019d actually got done. The result:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Tidy up the recipe drawer
\n\u2013 Tidy the bathroom
\n\u2013 Print out the gift list
\n\u2013 Open the \u201eCurrent Projects\u201c folder
\n\u2013 Buy a watch strap
