I love writing.

My career as an author began quite early. I wrote my first poem at the age of seven - my family still teases me about it today: "Mum, mum mum, shall I get some butter? Mum, mum, Mother's Day is here." Everyone starts somewhere.

I tried my first real book when I was 13. It was also an attempt. I got stuck on the second page... then I couldn't think of anything else. But writing remained my passion.

Writing things down helps me to sort out my thoughts and find clarity.

But I don't just write for myself, I also write for others: Articles for magazines, books, training materials and an inspirational email every fortnight.

I've wanted to thank you for the inspiring newsletters for some time now. Always a pleasure to read!

My first published book: Swing

The first book I finished and then published was Swing. Your life in balance. In it, I describe my 8 + 1 concept for a balanced life. And tell you how I approach living a balanced life myself. I love the book and it makes me a bit proud as an author and very happy that it has already seen its third edition. What's more, even LEO, an online life training programme for people who want to live powerfully in balance.

It makes me particularly happy when people tell me that they themselves are looking for SWING live.

I read SWING with a friend. We are always amazed at the closeness to life, the good ideas and the refreshing thoughts and how it all relates to God's plan for our lives. I think I will be working on this book for a few more years because there is so much good in it.

As an author, I love it compact and practical

When I write books and training materials, I want to get to the heart of the matter. I also think it's stupid to just teach theory. That's why I put a lot of effort into making the impulses practical and realisable.

All my books

It is such a pleasure for me to be able to give something to people. So far, eleven "real" Books from my pen or keyboard, as well as a few dozen Quadro training booklets and Impulse booklets.

As I sometimes lose track of how many there are, I have created an online overview. You can find it here

I really appreciate the fact that you write so clearly and succinctly as an author. I feel that a lot of books that want to convey something are so long-winded. As someone who loves to learn and prefers to read a book every day, it's so precious when someone summarises their thoughts so wonderfully. For me, however, this is an absolute strength of your publishing house (and of the other authors), that things are brought to the point. Simply marvellous!

The good life

I gave myself this book as a present for my 50th birthday. As an author and coach, I wanted to finally put all the reasonably clever and sometimes funny sentences that I have come up with over the course of my life on paper.

The good life. What I have discovered about lightness and joie de vivre in 50 years, four months and seven days.

  • It can be what is. I shape what becomes.
  • Multitasking is multidumb.
  • The first one is always something special.

A graphic designer friend of mine lovingly illustrated the book - it has become a gift for me and obviously also for the people who read it.

If I had known how good the book was, I would have ordered another one!

It's very nice - you really don't want to put it down - just have a quick read of this page :-). It's very excitingly written, easy to understand, and you can easily take it with you on the tram.

Cast off

"Tell me, why do you actually live on a houseboat?" is probably the question I'm asked most often? Apart from a large dose of optimism, what motivated me to embark on the adventure of bringing a rusty old boat back to life? In my book, I tell the story with all its ups and downs.

Cast off. How I built a houseboat in the centre of Berlin to live my dream

Firstly, because it is simply an exciting story.

But even more, because I believe that tens of thousands of inanimate dreams lie dormant in people's hearts. If some of them could be brought to life by untying them, that would be a dream... for the world and for me too.

I absolutely love writing personalised dedications in books. You can get the book "pure" here. If you would like to have a book with a personalised dedication for yourself, just click here. As an extra you will receive a link to an author reading with me and a guided tour of the ship.
