Constantly weak and tired

"I feel tired and tired all the time. Even if I've slept enough at night, I don't have the energy. I can barely manage my work and then I just hang around in the evenings."

Many people feel like Kathrin. Somehow you can't get yourself to do anything. They often try to pull themselves together. That costs extra energy. 

It would be smarter to first analyse what energy is missing. 

  • Water-Energy: If our bodies don't get enough fluid, it affects our brain. Just a few per cent too little water - and you can no longer concentrate well. 
  • Nutrient energy: Most of us eat enough (some of us forget to do so in the middle of work), but the body often lacks vital substances and vitamins. A lack of vitamin B12 and vitamin D or iron in particular robs us of energy. 
  • Movement energy: Exercise pumps blood and oxygen into the body and brain. If you don't get enough exercise, your circulation will slow down. 
  • Sleep energy: Not only do we relax during sleep, we also process the experiences of the day in the REM phases. If we don't sleep, we can't process stress well. It builds up. 
  • Emotional energy: Difficult times such as losses, stress or constant burdens due to caring for relatives or financial constraints take away energy. 
  • Relationship energy: We refuel through relationships. Without encounters, contact and touch, our tanks become empty.
  • Aesthetic energy: The soul needs beauty to recharge its batteries - through art or nature, for example. Marvelling at something sublime, for example, greatly reduces inflammation. 
  • Energy for success: Success revitalises us. Sometimes even a small success can give us a boost of energy. 
  • Spiritual energy: The strengthening feeling of being connected to something greater.

This is my preliminary energy collection. I'm sure there are more forms of energy. Feel free to write to me if you can think of any more. 

My tips: 

  • Check which type of energy you lack the most. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist ; - )
  • Develop a concrete plan for how you can refill your empty tanks.
