Good question - Faith

I love good, exciting questions.

This morning, inspired by something I read, I asked myself the following question - and I'm asking you too:

- What is your favourite picture of Jesus? (Which scene does it show?)

- What does it say about him?

- What does it say about you?

I am looking forward to your answers.

  1. dear kerstin,

My favourite passage in the NT is Mt 11:28:

„Come to me, all you who labour and suffer under your burden! I will give you rest. 29 Let me take you into my service and learn from me. I mean well by you and look down on no one. With me you will find rest for your lives“

Figuratively speaking, I see Jesus with „open arms“ in front of me...a beautiful and comforting image.

And for me it is so beautiful and important because it gives me a beautiful focus in good times - a thankfulness that Jesus is always with us - and gives me peace in difficult times, trusting that I can share my worries with Jesus...this place gives me a sense of security.

I would be happy if you would also share your favourite picture of Jesus here and what it means to you?.

    thank you and best regards,
    Petra

    1. Hello, Petra

I don't have a permanent favourite part of Jesus. That changes. At the moment I am touched by his protection and his wisdom - for example in dealing with the adulteress who the others wanted to stone, his ability to find exactly the right words etc.
