God knows how to make me happy. In my book „“The Hut and Me" I have drawn up a list of various things in which I sense and experience God’s loving presence in my life:

Looking at the list, what struck me most was that I very often discover exactly the right books that I need for the next stages of my development. I’m simply the sort of person who learns a great deal from inspiring books.

I could see these helpful discoveries as a coincidence, if I wanted to. That would be fine too. However, I suspect that my good Lord is playfully putting the odd book my way because he wants to support my development.

Finding the right book

I experienced that again today. DeThe Kirchentag was my last business appointment. Whilst praying and making plans at the start of 2010, I felt that God was advising me to keep the summer free of appointments so that I would have the time and space to dream, think and plan.

Over the coming weeks and months, I want to give some thought to the direction I want my life and my business to take over the next seven years.

Today – completely out of the blue – I was given the book *StrengthsFinder 2.0* as a present. It’s a professional assessment of one’s own strengths and talents.  I already have a rough idea of where my strengths lie, but exploring and defining them in more detail is exactly the right thing to do at the start of this journey of self-discovery.

I’m absolutely delighted. And I think God is winking at me and saying: „“I did that well!"
