Kirchentag - Fragments 2

By the end of the Kirchentag, my shoes were completely worn out. But my heart was full of inspiring experiences. Here are a few more snippets.
– Communicate effectively
A woman asked whether the Quadro Communicate effectively. Training for better relationships that it might be something for her husband too. I smiled and suggested she simply give it a go, buy one and put it in the loo… and then see what happens.
– Folk dance
Even though Bavarian folk dance isn’t usually quite my thing, I was fascinated by the interplay between couple and group dancing, individuality and community. It vividly illustrates something of the web of relationships within which we live.
– Diverse spirituality
I was also impressed by „Stay and Pray“ at the Church of the Holy Spirit in the centre of Munich. It was a successful blend of traditional and modern forms of prayer. Priests were on hand for conversation and confession. A youth group sang modern spiritual songs. A nature video was playing in a tent, inviting people to worship. Photos of famous people hung on one wall. People were invited to pray for them and, as an expression of „star prayer“, to drop a small silver star into a bowl.
