Just a question: Should I blog more?

Over the past 12 days, I have been taking part in an online course on the topic of „life conceptualisation“. I love learning and I was interested in what others had to say on this topic.

As with all good courses, there were questions. You can also recognise a good question by the fact that you don't have an answer straight away. When I ask coaching clients something and they first answer - depending on their parenting style - “But that's a difficult / unusual / crap question!" - then I know that I've hit the bull's eye with the question. Into the black hole where the problems are concentrated or the solutions are found.

That's how I felt about the - harmless - question in the course:

  • „How can you offer other people more benefits!“

I groaned inwardly at first: „I've been doing this all the time: I coach people, hold seminars, write books, quadros, impulse booklets, support others in publishing... !“

Just the idea of doing more exhausted me. Until I thought about blogging. As I have been working intensively on the online course „Your good life“ and on my new book „The good life!“, I have written very little on my blog in recent months.

I thought:

  • I read and experience things that could be inspiring and helpful for others. Maybe I should actually start blogging more again.

And so now I'm thinking about it

  • To tell more - about what I experience and what moves me
  • It is allowed to be what is...Quote Kerstin HackPassing on more of what I have learnt
  • Write more book summaries
  • Sharing more tips for a good life
  • My favourite quotes

I would like your feedback on this.

  • Would that enrich your life? How(so)?
  • Would that be something you would like?
  • If so, how often would be good?
  • What would be your favourite topics and contributions?

Please just comment.

And I keep thinking.

Some „stupid“ questions are really tough...

  1. Hello Kerstin,

I read your blog regularly and would certainly be happy to read new posts more often. But it should be entirely up to you how often and what you write about. You share a part of your life with your readers, so it's your personal decision how you want to organise it.

Yes, some contributions enrich my life and stay with me for a long time. For example, the sacrificial anode, which was a long time ago and yet I still think about it every now and then. It is such an impressive image of what Jesus did for us.

I always like to be surprised by what you want to tell us (and when).

    Best regards from Hamburg

  2. Hello Kerstin, I would like you to blog more. I enjoy reading your thoughts and have already been able to put some things into practice (e.g. I got the idea of taking a longer reflection and planning time once a week/month from a blog post. As a social pedagogue and alternative practitioner, I also work in the field of counselling and therapy and have already passed on many an impulse.
So if you have time, I'll read your blog. Kind regards Barbara Berger

  3. Yes, dear Kerstin, I would be delighted if you would blog more about your experiences and tips. I like being on your Kerstin Hack page and I've somehow missed the fact that you haven't actually shared so much recently. So...gladly and more often.
    Kind regards Dörthe

  4. Hello Kerstin,
I would like you to blog more, for example every Friday.
Your thoughts on thinking further, going further ... developing further in faith and in life are very inspiring.
    Summer greetings from Franconia! Monika

    1. Thank you I would like to manage at least once a week. Basically, there's so much in my head and heart that I want to share... only sometimes there hasn't been enough time and space. I now want to actively create this and try to write something big once a week, supplemented now and again by something smaller (book tips etc.).

  5. I visit your blog two or three times a week. I find your normal everyday life and how you organise it (e.g. how you schedule rest times etc.) exciting and especially what you experience with God. At some point you told me about a trip to England where you dealt with the topic of healing. I would be interested to hear what has become of it and whether you still have experiences in this direction in your everyday life. Thank you for your blog.

    1. Thank you - it's good to read what you write. The topic of healing continues to move me. I experienced a blatant healing in my ear (I blogged about it in January). At the moment, actively reaching out for it has taken a back seat. Publishing and the ship have taken centre stage. That's why I haven't experienced so much physical healing recently (I've had some mental healing, but mostly through coaching). But I'll keep at it.

  6. Hello Kerstin,

I tried it yesterday, but the comment somehow disappeared.

I read your blog regularly and would of course appreciate more comments. But it's your blog, you let your readers participate in a part of your life, it's your decision how you want to handle it. Often it is certainly also a question of time.

Yes, some contributions enrich my life. As a keyword, for example, sacrificial anode, that was a long time ago, but I think about it every now and then. It has stuck with me as an impressive image of what Jesus did for us.

So I always like to be surprised by new posts, no matter what they're about and how often.

    With best regards from Hamburg

    1. Thank you...and how cool that you remembered the picture and the word of the sacrificial anode. Maybe I'll even put it in my new book (you gave me an idea).

  7. Hello Kerstin,

I am also happy when you write in your blog!
I'm just reading your Quadro work organisation. I'm trying to organise my large household, but with 4 children aged 3-13 and a husband it's not that easy. Once you have order and structure in one corner, it's chaos in the other. The youngest spreads everything all over the house etc.
My dear, I want a tidy, clean house!
One of my biggest problems was,
To set myself goals. It did me good to read that I'm not the only one who feels this way. I think the worst thing about goals is the fear of not achieving them. So I prefer not to set myself any goals, then I can't fail. The only problem is that I live my life in a very haphazard, unstructured and chaotic way. This costs me energy, which is wasted unnecessarily. I've read some valuable tips: “The ungrateful children... If you focus on what you have no control over, you become frustrated and depressed.“ You hit the bull's eye for me with that sentence. I already realised that complaining wasn't the right way to go, but this sentence took the power out of my frustration. Wow, I'm thrilled. You don't want to complain, but you do it anyway. What you say is so true, there are sometimes things in life that I have no control over, so it's just harmful to focus on them because it robs me of my strength.
It's good that you wrote about it.

With some of the things I read, I just thought, how do I implement this now? Just the thought of making a plan overwhelmed me. Sometimes I just thought, if only Kerstin were here and could help me practically, that would be great. Some of the things I read just have to sink in, you read it, leave it, and then I open the cupboard with the jars and think, everything is mixed up here, that's not possible. Kerstin wrote about structure and tidiness, and then I tidied the cupboard.
Somehow you have changed my focus, thank you Kerstin.
My view was no longer that the whole house is a mess, I can only manage that, but that the cupboard is a mess and I'm going to tidy it up.
Do you have a book about minimalism in a large family?
God bless you and let you be a blessing to many. LG Mary

    1. Thank you d8r for the wonderful words... they are really, really good. And I think minimalism in a large family is challenging... I sometimes find it hard to get my guests on board to organise in a way that is good for everyone. Friends (but only with two children) have set themselves the goal of reducing their possessions by 50% and have succeeded.

  8. Dear Kerstin,
I also really enjoy reading your blog, especially what you experience with God. It's challenging and encouraging! So: keep writing!

  9. I also enjoy reading your blog entries because they are inspiring in many ways. Elke
