Creative competition: President versus underwear
This article about my creative, unconventional strategy for judging the quality of American presidents and underwear should have been published a year ago.
But something went wrong when I published it. That's why it's here now, because I still like to remember this unconventional competition.
Perhaps it was a little unfair, despite all the creativity, to pit a president against a pair of pants. But the day after Obama's first election as President of the USA, I happened to find black and white underwear with black and white elasticated waistbands while shopping.
I was curious to find out which would last longer: the president or the underwear. I bought a bra and several pairs of underwear. I hope Obama doesn't sue me for unfair competition because there was only one president but several pieces of underwear, which is admittedly a bit unfair.
The winner is...
The candidates, who were running against each other without their knowledge, were both surprisingly tough. Both the laundry and the president survived Barak Obama's (BO) first term relatively unscathed. Then the decline began. First the BH gave up. The first round - BH against BO went clearly to BO.
Obama's hair turned white over the course of his time in office, or mottled in the official parlance for men. His white pants greyed at the same pace. Were they in collusion? The black pants lasted longer, which was probably due to the dye that gave them additional stability. At least that's my theory.
But the clear, unequivocal winner of the competition is the last pair of white pants. She stayed in office until the end. She only left the race a few weeks after a new president was elected.
I would like to thank all the candidates for this exciting time. I regret, Mr Obama, that you and my laundry were not granted a third term in office. That would have been nice.
For you: a creative book tip

Presidents against underwear was one of my creative ideas - it suits me. But everyone is creative in their own way. You can learn it.
