What will you do for....?
People have wishes. Big and small.
We want more friends, health, fitness, success and much more.
We often hardly differ in what we want, but in what we are prepared to do for it.
Powerful question for wishes
A two-part question can help:
- What do you want?
You could also ask: What do you need? What is important to you right now?
Who knows? That's what I want!is already a big step ahead of people who never think about their wishes, desires and needs.
- What do you ...want to do about it?
The fulfilment of most wishes costs us something: time, money, courage, sometimes also things like reputation or even relationships.
If you realise what the fulfilment of your wishes will probably cost you, you can then decide - just as clearly: Can I and do I want to pay the price?
Fulfilled wishes
Of course, you never know all the costs. When I decided to fulfil my dream and convert an old navy ship into a houseboat and seminar boat, I had a rough idea of what it would cost me.
In the end, the financial and emotional costs were higher than expected, but so were the financial and emotional gifts. I also hadn't expected so many people to help me fulfil my dream.
My tip: Get the book to inspire your own dreams here - I'll even write you a personal dedication of courage.
And don't stop asking yourself:
What do I ... want to do about it?
