Tailwind - when others provide support

One of the things that has moved me most over the last few days during the „Ransom Campaign“ has been the support I’ve received from others.

  • The more than 120 individual posts, both short and long, on the ransom so far.
  • The posts on Facebook, blogs and so on in which people have drawn their friends’ attention to the project and the current crisis.

Yesterday I was moved to tears when I was in the Live Lighter Blog, read Heike Malisic’s article: Don’t wait for a miracle – be one yourself. She writes about several amazing women who dare to make a difference in the world – and counts me amongst them. Then she writes:

It is an honour for me to know such women and to carry them in my heart.
And I think that’s exactly how one person can stand up for another.
I’m sure you’ve already read about it on Beate’s blog last week. Kerstin’s plight – she suddenly received an unexpected bill for €20,000. She’s praying for a miracle, but isn’t too proud to go public with her situation. Just under €10,000 has already been raised, and I thought to myself today that there’s still more to be done.

Perhaps you’d like to read her story and be part of her miracle too.

It’s worth it, her entire text to read – this was just a short extract.

And of course… if you like, tell your friends about the project and me, and give me a bit of a boost.

    1. It’s tough, but it’s really good fun… you can see – at least after a while – that you’re making real progress.
