I hate helplessness

2015-06-28 17.02.52It was tight. I only had six minutes to change trains in Hamburg to catch the regional train to Cuxhaven for a seminar. Close but doable. But then the train stopped about 500 metres before entering the station. If I'd had long fingernails (not an option when you're building a ship), I would probably have chewed them off. It's sco awful when you're stuck in a situation and there's absolutely nothing you can do.

Helplessness is my absolute non-favourite feeling. I really hate it when I'm confronted with a situation and don't know what I can do. Or what I want to do - like running quickly to the next track - is not possible. When - despite hard work - the piles of paper don't get any smaller. Or the pounds don't melt off despite discipline.

Sometimes the helplessness comes from outside. But often it also comes from within. You feel hopeless and helpless, pinned down and unable to act. Or simply dull and empty and don't know where to start.

I guess you know that too:

  • You want to concentrate on your work, but you absolutely can't manage it.
  • You want closeness and trust in your relationship with God - but somehow the doubts prevail.
  • You want to shed those pesky pounds, but the chocolate cake always wins.
  • You're basically a friendly person, but you grumble a lot.
  • You want power in prayer, but it feels like a wet rag.

Feeling helpless is awful. Which is really nice for me: I rarely feel helpless - except when travelling. I used to feel it much more often. And I often felt correspondingly bad. The difference for me is that I have learned behavioural patterns and strategies that have strengthened me so that I very rarely fall into helplessness.

I have learnt in very different areas: Practical strategies for coping with work. Ways to find strength and energy. Knowledge about nutrition and exercise. Access to a strengthening spirituality. Moving towards more serenity.

The good news for you: You too can learn to overcome helplessness. Simply by gradually acquiring the skills that will help you cope better. And you are not alone.

I have developed 5 anti-helplessness training sessions for you based on what I have learnt. You can do them online from the comfort of your own home.

1. against poor work organisation and for more efficiency and relaxation:

Sam. Mastering his work. Going through everyday life calmly

2. against the walls between God and you - and for more experience of God's closeness

IDA. In your arms. Experiencing God's fatherly love.

3. against lack of energy and ballast - for more physical and mental lightness.

LEA. Finally live differently. Gain lightness, energy and radiance.

 4. against powerlessness in faith and for more experience of God's intervention.

WUM. Miracles among people. Experiencing God's power naturally.

There is also a short video about WUM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCXvQKHgzN4

5. ALL-NEW!!!! Against stuffiness and for more half or full glasses in life.

DAN. Gratefully accept everything. Develop more contentment.

What you get in the three months for only about one euro per day:

  • Inspiration and input on your topic twice a week.
  • Concrete instructions and tasks to help you take the first steps.
  • Lots of further tips and links to help you deepen what you have read.
  • A Facebook group for additional input, questions and exchange with other participants.

In short: a power pack for you and your life.

Because each course is divided into three months, you can learn in your area step by step - and become more confident, stronger and more capable!

Each course costs 99 euros if you do it alone. Only 90 euros if you do it together with another person. That's great anyway, because you can motivate each other. Group prices are available on request.

I love to help people move forward in life through personal coaching or on the phone, or with Lectures and seminars to inspire.

This only ever reaches a limited number of people. That's why I developed the courses to help and empower people beyond the direct encounter.

2015-09-19 14.33.28I cordially invite you to join us.

The courses always start at the beginning of a new quarter (January, April, July, October). It's best to sign up for your course right away! And motivate a friend to join you. It's even more fun - and cheaper - with a friend.

Oh yes - I actually missed the connecting train to Cuxhaven and had to wait an hour for the next train. Fortunately, I had planned enough of a buffer - it was even enough for a walk by the sea. That's one of the things I've learnt in life.
