Discovering life: God has once again outdone himself

Was I alive today?

Yes! I’m so grateful that my long-held wish has come true, and now the first layer of insulation is up in the engine room before Christmas… so the cold – if it does come – won’t be much of a threat anymore.

It’s amazing and full of surprises.

What new things have I discovered about myself?

I have a vivid imagination and a lively mind. And I consider myself to be quite creative in the solutions I come up with. Yet every now and then, God does things that surpass even my wildest imaginings – and that’s saying something.
His latest stroke of luck: I’d been praying for months for the right electrician to help me with all the electrical work – which is a complete mystery to me. That was one of the things that caused me the most anxiety. Whenever something gives me a knot in my stomach, I pray. And I ask God for help.

His response: He sent me an electrical engineer who is also a trained boatbuilder with a passion for ships. A few months ago, through gospel music that touched him deeply, he found a connection to the God they sing about. And in my project, everything that defines him is now coming together: his skills and passions – and his new journey with God. He is now helping me with all the planning and will support me as much as he can within the limits of his capabilities (he is self-employed)……It couldn’t be better.

The icing on the cake: the only time he could come and have a look at my boat (he lives quite a way away) was Saturday morning. The only time the man who’s going to install the solar panels was available was Saturday morning. So they turned up at the same time and worked everything out so that it all fits together. I didn’t understand a word of it – I still need to have some of it translated into „terms I can grasp“. But it sounded really good.
