And how… when playing with my nephews, chatting on the phone with my niece, and lots of other things….

What new things have I discovered about life?

Advice comes from all sorts of sources. There are people I ask directly for advice – such as my friend Rosemarie, who recently gave me a whole new perspective on a tricky situation.

And then I’m surprised at how God answers my prayer for guidance in such an original way. Two days ago, my godchild casually slipped a rather blunt and unvarnished description of someone into a sentence, which gave me a bit of clarity in a situation where I had been praying for wisdom.

What’s more: after four days off work on the ship, the colours and shapes begin to change. The bruises turn white again, as does the black under the fingernails; the scratches on the skin fade and the lumps go down.

And: ‘Oh Tannenbaum’ used to be a tragic love song written by a man about the woman who left him after he fell on hard times: „Oh maiden, oh maiden, how fickle is your heart…“

What have I done?Found out anything new about me?

Ever since I started building the boat, far more men have been taking an interest in me than before. Hmm?
