England in figures
England in figures (partly rounded, if I have not counted exactly)
- 1 Prayer for God's tangible presence - the young man still felt the touch long after I had removed my hand from his shoulder.
- 1 woman led to Jesus...in the wellness area of a hotel.
- 1 Healing on my own body: A dozen unpleasant prickly blacks on my feet are gone - not exactly my most pressing problem, but much more pleasant when running.
- 1 Physical improvement: The palm-sized hardened tissue under the scar on my thigh - as a result of my bad fall last year - has become noticeably softer.
- 1 conference + 2 training meetings attended
- 20 short and long conversations with people who were not believers about faith, prayer, healing...
- 20 prayers for physical healing. One immediate dramatic improvement (osteoarthritis, breathing problems, walking problems), two improvements in insomnia, two people intensely felt the presence of God in prayer, being touched by Him.
- 20 „words of knowledge“ were passed on, i.e. things that of course could not be known. Two or three were clearly off the mark, two were unverifiable, some of the others were pretty spot on, such as that a woman had experienced war and was still suffering from it. She had survived the civil war in Sierra Leone and had seen countless corpses. I was then able to support her in dealing with her trauma.
- 29 days with rain all day or intermittently (maybe it was only 28 days, when I arrived the sun was shining)
- 50 times (approx.) involved in hearing prayer for people. Some of them have given me feedback on how extremely appropriate the words were for them. For example, the man we told to mourn his beautiful, colourful clothes (like the coat Joseph had), but not to look back, but to look at what God has for him now. (The picture was Joseph's colourful coat and his responsible tasks). He used to be a pop musician and missed that time and the beautiful stage costumes!!!
- 100s of hours of Bible study, prayer, prayer walks
For me, the greatest insights from England
- Christ in me. Jesus is not only Saviour, but also healer, doctor, liberator, shepherd... and he lives in me in all his fullness. I don't have to ask the „Jesus out there“ to work, but the Jesus who wants to do good to people already lives in me in all his fullness. That has strengthened my faith immensely. Christ in me - and I can learn to let him work through me.
- Of course you can: Jesus passed on supernatural knowledge in quite normal conversational contexts - for example in John 4. You don't have to approach complete strangers with „The Lord shows me xy about you!“, but can allow spiritual gifts to work in conversation or prayer.
- For God, the supernatural is completely natural. He does it every day.
Now I'm excited to see what awaits me here. I've ventured into some new areas in England: passing on words of knowledge - things I can't know naturally - and healing the sick. There is still a lot of room for improvement here. I want to continue to grow and learn how I can let God work more through me. I am excited.
