Losing weight - this is how I do it. Part 2
Gaining weight is basically quite simple: Everyone knows that. But how does the storage of fat in the body actually work? To put it very simply: you put on weight when your blood sugar level is high - nutrients are then removed from the blood with the help of insulin and stored in the fat deposits. Blood sugar levels rise particularly sharply when you eat sugar, fruit, cereal products or other carbohydrates.
Losing weight the other way round is also easy: Eat food that hardly raises the blood sugar level (vegetables, protein) and is as alkaline as possible. Because if the body is too acidic, it cannot break down fat. Vegetables are ideal for an alkaline diet, fish is also good.
I currently eat a lot of vegetables, some meat, fruit and nuts. That works well.
- The first kilo is gone! That leaves four more that I want to get rid of.
- It was quite easy for me to eat only things that were good for my body on normal working days.
- I can already feel more lightness in my body. Whether imaginary or not - it feels good.
- The knowledge: I'm tackling this now is really good for me.
- A few gifts and a loan have eased the financial pressure somewhat. That's good for me.
- A dozen items have left my household. The difference is not yet noticeable, but you have to start somewhere.
The less good news
- Massage hasn't worked once yet. Almost once, but then a „short“ visit to Bauhaus and IKEA took up too much time during the lunch break.
- Eating out is difficult for me. Especially at meetings, where experience has shown that there is little food that promotes slimming. Record mies: A meeting at 18.00 (I hadn't eaten dinner yet) where there was no glass of water left for me, but waffles and pretzels (I love both) were right in front of me. I lost count...At least I made a really big jug of green smoothie at a meeting with my own team.
What I do now
- I want to be prepared for exceptions. Take an apple or celery, carrots or nuts with me. Or eat enough beforehand.
- I want to drink less coffee and more water. Coffee to relieve the acid-base balance. If the body is too acidic, it can't lose weight. And more water, because it's simply good.
