Losing weight - this is how I do it. Part 3

2015-09-23 15.06.59The good news

Things are moving forward. The second kilo is gone.

The bad news

It's taking longer than I had hoped. I thought one kilo a week was doable, now it's more like 10 days to melt one off.

What worked really well

Drinking more: Mainly by making myself a large pot of herbal tea (alkaline) in the morning and drinking it throughout the working day.

Only eat things at home that are good for my body and for me. And the occasional foot massage from the electric massager.

What was more difficult

Eating well on the way or turning down treats that were offered to me. Cake in the afternoon. Or something tasty at breakfast: sausage, cheese, bread is not what's best for me at the moment. Rather green smoothies, quark, egg.

I still find it difficult to turn down offers. And as I'll be travelling a lot over the next few weeks, that remains the big challenge. At least I managed to eat just two small pieces of baklava once, even though I really like it. And what you can manage once, you can manage a second time.

What is also difficult

Dealing with the pressure of the financial burden of new publications in the publishing house and the costs on the ship. I do worry from time to time...whether we'll manage to finance the stove, which is supposed to heat the water and air for the whole ship, in time for the winter. And I'm not always relaxed. I'm still grateful for encouragement and support.

What is beautiful

Despite the challenges, the ship is making progress. It is becoming more beautiful from day to day.

What I want to install

Again, more strengthening and stretching for about 10 - 15 minutes a day. This is extremely important, especially when I give a lot of lectures like I do now, to avoid pain and discomfort (which also leads to more eating).

On Weekend I'm giving various talks and seminars north of Hamburg. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. A warm invitation.
