What have you been dreaming about for a long time? A question from Kerstin Hack

Just a question: I'm dreaming. What are you dreaming about?

What have you been dreaming about for a long time? A question from Kerstin HackJust a question: I'm dreaming - and you?

What have you been dreaming about for a long time but haven't done yet?

I fulfilled my big dream and spent five years painstakingly converting an old, rusty naval vessel into a houseboat and seminar boat. I also talk about this in my new Book „Cast off“

Many people think this is something very special. But I don't think it is or has to be.

I believe there is a dream slumbering in every human being. Or several that need to be pursued.

What I dream is illogical

For many years, I have dreamed of hiking in the desert. I don't really like hiking that much. And I love water. The dream of hiking in the desert was really illogical for me. I didn't know what I wanted to get out of it. It didn't make any sense. And yet I dreamt it again and again.

But at some point, when I saw an advert for a week-long hike in the desert, I decided relatively spontaneously: I'm going to do it now. I've been dreaming about it for so long and it doesn't cost the earth. I booked the hiking trip to the Sahara in the south of Morocco.

What I dream becomes reality

When I was walking in the desert, questions became clearer for me. My head is clearer after a walk - and even more so after a long walk. This has to do with the fact that alternating movement of the right and left side of the body stimulates the emotional brain to process experiences.

This is a fact that I also recognise in the (Wingwave -) Coaching to support people in reducing stressful experiences.

Swing. Your life in balance. The manuscript was written when I dared to realise what I dream ofAfter a week of hiking through the varied and coincidentally blooming desert, my head was clear. And almost incidentally, a question had been answered - how on earth could I put an idea into book form?.

Almost incidentally, while hiking, my head filled with the concept for my first book. Back in Berlin, all I had to do was write it: Swing: Your life in balance.

What I dream has a purpose

This experience has taught me that my inner self has a different, more comprehensive logic than my pure mind.

My mind told me: wandering in the desert is pointless.

My intuition knew that what I was dreaming about was exactly what I needed to take a step - or many steps - further.

If I hadn't fulfilled this dream, I probably wouldn't be an author today.

What dreams lie dormant inside you?

What have you been dreaming about for a long time but haven't done yet?
