Noonsong - a Lestival of nine Lessons and Carols

Under this title, the Berlin-based Noonsong Last Saturday, they organised a moving service. Parishioners, the vicar, and local and national politicians read passages from the Bible. From the Creation and the Fall to Christmas – the history of humanity, from its separation from God to the birth of the Saviour, as told through a selection of powerful passages.

In between, there are beautifully sung polyphonic compositions ranging from the Renaissance to 2010 – including two world premieres. Church, politics and art join together to proclaim a message of hope. Impressive and moving.
