Living strengths
I spent the last few days in a cosy little estate in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Wonderfully quiet. Wonderful surroundings and delicious food. I used the days to relax and reflect on what is important to me for 2011. For my work, my faith, my life.
In addition to long walks and lots of notes and notebooks, it helped me to revisit my results from the Strenghts Finder 2.0. to draw on. This is a scientifically based test to discover your greatest strengths. With lots of actionable tips on how to develop and build on them. I found it very helpful that the author also described: "People with this and that strength, need this or that to feel in their element."
I have derived some very specific action steps for myself from this. It's good to know: "If I pay attention to this, the chances of me doing well increase greatly - and that's good for me and for the people around me."
Don't you get bored when it's soooo quiet?
Not for me - I have enough ideas in my head to quickly dispel my boredom. :-)
The „strengthening strengths“ thing sounds good. Is it only available in English or can you also take the test in German?
By the way, we never get bored in Meck-Pomm...
Hello, Christine. The test can also be taken in German, but I think the evaluation is only available in English - a bit crazy, but that's the way it is...or I didn't look closely enough.
Hello Kerstin, thank you very much for the quick information.
That does sound a bit adventurous... let's see if I dare to try it.
