Question: What does your perfect day look like?
Sometimes we think a lot about the big goals and dreams in life. And are sometimes at a loss: What exactly do I want? What do I want my life to look like?
Minimise big questions
It helps if you break down the big questions into something that you can think through and visualise.
For example: What does your perfect day look like?
For me, the answer is quickly clear:
- Some exercise in the morning - swimming in summer, jogging or trampolining in winter.
- A good drink and time for silence, prayer and reflection. Later, a power smoothie.
- To develop and create something new _ mostly by writing.
- Learning something - during my lunch break I often watch courses or read a book.
- Supporting people through coaching.
- Meeting people or reading.
- Experience something special every now and then: A concert, cinema, exhibition ...
Finding your own way
When I look at my answers, I quickly realise that my life is pretty wonderful as it is. I have improved some things recently. Inspired by the book PAUSE (see my review) I realised that I want to take better care of my body (food and a little rest). And that I really want to learn new things. I have planned both of these things into my day.
What I realised when answering the question: I would like to meet up with friends more often. As I live a bit further away from the centre, it always involves a bit of effort. But I want to improve that in future.
Swing - the concept for a strong life
I always have the swing concept in mind when planning. The eight elements of life that you need for a good life:
- Vision
- Structure
- Sense
- Highlights
- Energy
- Proximity
- Reflection
- Regeneration
It helps me to keep an eye on what I'm missing in life. And then to take good care of it. By the way, you can do a test here, to find out what you lack most for a strong life. And then do it in a relaxed way.
What does your perfect day look like? What elements does it contain?
