Cast off for your dream!
It's now a year since I started working on the finished manuscript of Cast off back to Berlin with my luggage. Before that, I had taken some time out to write - at a place that fortunately had a treadmill on which I could mount my laptop - so I was able to write a lot while walking briskly. It's more comfortable for me than sitting down.
Thoughts flow as you walk. That suits the book about a houseboat on the river. And the crazy story
Cast off - a book goes round in circles
When the book was published, I was quite surprised by the response. More than 20 contributions are in Newspapers, magazines, radio and television published.
I'm sorry to disappoint anyone who thinks that this has turned me into a bestselling author. People do read a lot, but most of their reading time is spent on social media and the internet. Which isn't a bad thing - you're reading my blog right now, which I think is great! Thank you for being here.
However, the trend towards digital media means that books are selling less and less. For most people, a quick look at something on the internet is enough. The strong press response has shown me that realising dreams seems to be a topic that moves many people.
They are keen to find out how others have done it. They may be thinking about how they can realise their own dreams.
