The fun starts at zero

There are moments that are simply wonderful. Like this one right now. For the first time in ages, I’ve reached ZERO in three areas.
- My inbox is empty – empty apart from the Post-it pad, which is there so that new documents can be labelled with „To-do“ straight away. All enquiries from government departments and other people have been answered.
- My email inbox is empty. All enquiries have been deleted, delegated, replied to or placed in the relevant work folders and to-do lists.
- The buffer is set to zero. All the papers have been put away where they should be.

Only the Tower of books It’s the only „collection point“ I haven’t yet whittled down to zero – but I’ve still got quite a few bus, underground and train journeys ahead of me before Christmas, which I can use for reading.

What a feeling!

A good reason to quote Hafiz once again:

ZERO
That’s where the real fun begins.

There’s too much counting
Everywhere else.

NULL
It’s where the fun begins.

Everywhere else, they simply
counted too many.
