Training. You can learn to run

2015-05-28 12.50.19WUM - live. Together with three other women, I am considering whether I could supplement the Online training WUM Experience miracles among people Naturally God in Berlin a 3-month live course WUM - Live will offer. We would like to start in mid-July if we can find enough people who want to learn together with us.

The goal: Training people once a week to pray for the sick, bring deliverance and simply experience more of and with God. I'm a woman who loves training because you can do most things better when you have good instruction and training - whether it's creating welds or healing.

Looking back on my own learning

I had taken some time that morning to analyse the past month. At the beginning of June, I had prayed that I would experience God's intervention at least once a week for physical ailments. On the first of July, I evaluated. I prayed for a total of 29 people. And six times a noticeable change occurred during or after prayer. That's even more than once a week. I'm thinking about increasing to two a week for July. Of course this means taking the time to pray for people. Giving time is nothing other than giving love. My attentive sympathy and my faith - both can continue to grow.

On the way to our meeting, I think about the role of training. I realise that almost no one has learned to walk by someone else laying their hand on them and saying, „In the name of Jesus, run!“ Most of us learnt it step by step.

Only when it comes to spiritual things do we think that we have to be able to do things immediately. But there's a lot to learn there too. A few days earlier, I had a woman as a coaching guest. It was about traumatic experiences during an assignment abroad, which still caused her a lot of trouble afterwards. At the beginning, she told me that the trauma had worsened her hearing loss. I pricked up my ears. Jesus often or perhaps even always healed hearing loss or deafness by casting out a troublesome spirit. So I thought: „Hmmm. Maybe there's something negative and spiritual involved!“

I wanted to be on the safe side before the coaching session to make sure there was nothing incriminating. I explained this to her and asked her if I could pray for it - or more precisely, against it. She agreed. So I commanded the spirit of numbness to leave. What happened next was interesting. The right ear was immediately free and she could hear better straight away. But the other ear was still causing problems and she suddenly had severe pain in her eyes and remembered the stare of a relative who had been in the SA. We solved a few more things - the stabbing pain didn't disappear completely. I wonder if I left the area too soon? I'm not sure. I'm still learning.

Shortly afterwards I read in a book about healing that pain that has a demonic component often becomes even more intense with prayer. And jump in the body. I told the friends from the team that evening and one of them immediately said: „Of course, if a pain jumps back and forth in the body, it's usually demonic. Normal pain doesn't jump!“ Where she's right, she's right. I realise that this piece of knowledge will be helpful for me as I continue to pray for healing or deliverance. Another lesson learnt.

And another thing I read: Asking people before you pray is also quite useful. It is particularly helpful to ask whether something special or difficult happened six months or a year before the problems occurred. Four weeks ago, I prayed for a woman with back problems. A vertebra kept slipping out, cracking very strangely, it was very unpleasant. I prayed for a woman who had a vertebra that kept cracking in a very strange and unpleasant way - so much so that she was afraid to make certain movements. Together with others, I prayed for her a few weeks ago. However, no change happened in response to the prayer.

Yesterday we prayed for her again. God's presence was palpable, but when we tested whether anything had changed physically, there was no change. Then she told me that her legs are also different lengths. And when I prayed for the legs of different lengths, one of them suddenly became shorter. It wasn't really meant to be like that, she doesn't necessarily want to become shorter, but at least her legs were the same length.

Then I remembered that it can be useful to ask whether something unusually difficult had happened six to twelve months before the problems arose. I did and she said that my question immediately brought to mind a situation that had been stressful for her. So we took it to Jesus, she expressed forgiveness and we prayed for his peace. After that, the cracking in her spine was different. No longer as unpleasant as before, but a slight cracking sensation, like you sometimes get in your fingers or wrists. I said „Wow, I'm happy!“ She replied „And me too!“ Thank you, Jesus, Father, Holy Spirit. How wonderful what you do.

I still wish for dramatic quick healings - one prayer and WHEN is everything different. But I experience that when I take the time to question the person and the Holy Spirit about the causes and go deeper, more healings happen than when I just say a quick 10-second prayer or command something to change. And that learning from others who have more experience in this area obviously also leads to me being able to act more powerfully. I look forward to more experiences and further learning!
