Unleash your creativity. Three ways
„For 2019, I wish you wisdom and apple turnover?“
Someone wrote that to me. Really now? Yes. It was my own fault.
I asked my Facebook friends at the New Year: Write a wish for you and one for me that starts with the same letters as our first names.
Then there were fireworks of creativity - with wishes such as
- Happiness and freedom from stress (Sabine)
- Biscuits and yodelling (Jodith)
- Cuddling and gratitude (Dominik)
- Money and dress (Gabi)
- Wisdom and apple turnover (Alexander)
- Klamauk and down-to-earthness (Bi)
- Powers and millions - one for you, one for me (Michael)
- Knee-clapping cheers for both of us (Julia)
- Charisma and keel under the water (oops!) (Carmen)
- Coconuts and chocolate (Cordula)
The wishes touched me and made me smile - they were definitely the most creative New Year's wishes of my life.
The key to creativity
One key to creativity is reduction.
By „forbidding“ them 24 letters, my friends had to limit themselves to fewer and get creative.
My tip: If you want to encourage your creativity, then build in a restriction somewhere
- Only wear blue (or green or red) clothing
- Only say sentences in which every word begins with „S“: Say dull things for sure.
- Cook only new recipes for a week. Or just food without...
Restriction is just one of many ways to promote creativity.
Encourage creativity
