3 triggers for food cravings and a solution: How to get rid of Nutella cravings

To be successful, you have to have a plan A, B and C, not just hope that everything will work out somehow. - unknown

Dear friends,

It's frustrating. You try something over and over again and it doesn't work.

The strategy you have chosen is not working well. So you try even harder. And then you despair of yourself. "I just don't have enough willpower!"

Some people feel the same way about losing weight. They try and fail. Again and again. Without the desired success.

One reason for this is that emotions are stronger than willpower - especially in the run-up to Christmas when delicious baked goods and mulled wine are an intense temptation.

Micha (name changed), my physiotherapist, felt the same way. He's actually a fit guy, likes to exercise, climb and cycle. But he couldn't control himself when it came to Nutella. Not at all. Willpower didn't help. Nutella was stronger. Suddenly half the jar was empty. Over and over again. I then did a short coaching session with him to identify and "neutralise" the emotions behind the craving. A week later, he told me: "Nutella no longer attracts me. It's kind of normal now."

I explained in a webinar how you can apply the aforementioned coaching technique for yourself.

"Stopping emotional eating" is our most popular webinar - probably because not being able to control yourself when eating is such a big, painful topic for many people. On Thursday 21 October from 12.00 to 13.30, I'll be holding the webinar live once again. I will give you helpful input and incorporate some new, powerful scientific findings and take time for your questions.

If you would like to attend or watch the recording later, you can book the webinar here:
