A beautiful dream or actually two.... Rose balls and day guest rooms
Waking up from a beautiful dream with a smile on your face is a great way to start the day.
Tonight I dreamt that I was travelling with a group of friends through a snowy winter landscape, praying in pairs for various things and later having a snowball fight. I was quite far ahead, crossing a crossroads near a house that belonged to me in the dream. I realised that there was hardly any snow left. So I threw a „snowball“ of rose petals at the others.
Two women wanted to stay in my house because it was good for them. I offered them the chance to just stay and enjoy it.
I thought it was beautiful. A „snowball“ of roses that you throw to others. At the moment, the atmosphere in discussions in Germany is very poisoned among many people, the tone is very aggressive. People are hurling harsh, angry, derogatory words at each other - not to mention stones and incendiary devices. In this situation, I would like to be someone who throws „rose bombs“... words of appreciation, love and acceptance - even towards those who throw snowballs and iceballs.

And then I thought it was interesting about the guests in my house. I was just thinking about the fact that many refugees live in large emergency accommodation centres - around 40,000 in Berlin. They hardly have any privacy. Many Berliners work from home - as parents or self-employed and have space available where a guest could stay during the day. He or she could learn German there in peace, talk to relatives on the phone undisturbed or simply sleep for a few hours without a few dozen people snoring or shouting next to them....
„You can just stay here!“ I said to the women in the dream.“
Dear Kerstin, I think that's a really great idea. I'm sure there are also people who would like to help with refugee work but are not able to leave their homes. This would allow them to work from home.
Since offers of this kind, approached in a culturally sensitive way, would tend to be aimed at women and men at men or families, the main target group would probably be women.
Or, another idea would be for guest houses to offer rooms of this kind for a morning, afternoon, etc.
Best regards
