Discovering life - recognising needs
Was I alive today?
Yes!
What new things have I discovered about life?
Gifts "lurk" in places where you don't expect them. I was given a rich gift during a coaching session. The coaching guest was actually talking about work and my job was to help him gain clarity on whether and how he could continue with a particular project. But in the course of the conversation, it went beyond work to other levels: "I would like to express what I really long for in the words that a counsellor once said: "Helping people to stand upright and develop under God!
This sentence was / is a gift for me. Because it also expresses my longing. That's why I write books, coach people, rebuild and expand the ship: Because I want to help people to stand upright and flourish under God.
And yes: the first person I want to help with this can also be myself.
What new things have I discovered about myself?
I am still preoccupied with the topic of needs. It is very good for me to realise what I need. Sometimes I feel sad because some needs are so unfulfilled at the moment. But most of the time I find this very helpful When I know what I need most urgently, I can ask for it: myself, my God, people who like me.
My current top 5 needs
- Encouragement: Not in general terms "You'll make it!", but specifically and concretely: "Look at what you've already achieved so far....and how far you've come...you can take the next step too..."
- Physical relaxation: Warmth, massages, relief for the back.
- Council: Planning aid: How on earth do I do it with the entrance area and the engine room? Room layout and the right equipment.
- Practical help: Another 18 hours of painting and tidying up, which should be done by next weekend so that we can then install the windows.
- Practical help: Help with getting things - auctioning on Ebay, picking up things in Berlin....
- Financial support: Taking over one or the other position at Schiff - whether large or small.
- Be spoilt: A little luxury...flowers, massages, body care, candles, a delicious meal...a beautiful dress ;-) ....
