Lending a hand on the ship

This weekend I was in Hamburg and lent a hand with the ship - mainly scraping off rust and vacuuming where Karl, as a man, couldn't reach so well because of the narrow space. It was quite a challenge even for me because there were cross struts everywhere. In the end, the rust was everywhere...on my clothes, on my face.... evening, a friend greeted me: „You've got a tan.“ After showering, I was pink again - and the bathtub was brown.
But we did a good job. About five buckets !!! full of rust were removed, lots of water - from the flood - sucked out, steel sawed up. And the lounge was furnished. It's already quite cosy and warm. You can even spend the night there. (There is a toilet, but unfortunately not yet a shower).
The fact that we achieved so much was also due to the fact that so many people helped out. Bianca from southern Germany lent a hand on Friday and Saturday. She came to Hamburg especially to help - but also combined this with visits to friends. She scraped and vacuumed like a world champion - a real heroine! Thank you Bianca!

On Saturday, two men from Hamburg came to help with the towing and welding. We've never had so many on board before. That was really great because we really made a lot of progress.
Helpers wanted
We are still looking for people who want to lend a hand.
Sense and purpose
The ship will be a place where people can receive coaching, mentoring and help. There will be seminars on board, but also the opportunity to live there for a while and receive coaching and input from me. People will be strengthened in their faith and life. A lot of practical help and support is needed to get the ship ready as soon as possible. We simply don't have the finances to have everything done by specialists....
Where
The ship is currently berthed in Hamburg.
Who
People with manual skills and knowledge are particularly welcome: Carpenters, plumbers, tilers, carpenters. However, manual skills are not a prerequisite. EVERYONE, Anyone who can and wants to lend a hand is very welcome. There is plenty of work.
When
You can come at ANY TIME - by prior arrangement, of course. Karl the boat builder is practically always on board. You can now even spend the night on board.... a room is cosy and warm, there is a toilet, but unfortunately no shower...a hostel is probably even more comfortable at the moment.
Work and inspiration with me - Workcamps
I'm on board as often as I can - at least once a month - and lend a hand.
Next time probably again 20 - 23 March
Further dates on request.
When I am there, there will be a prayer time / impulse / devotion in the morning.
Maybe at lunchtime too.
And in the evening, do what you want... either sit together, talk, ask questions. Take advantage of personal coaching.
Or I can provide input on a topic on request. As the groups will probably be small for practical reasons, you can organise this individually - as it suits you.
I hope you get a lot of helpers! Nice project!!! LG sibylle
