Ethiopia, Corona and me
It has now been over six months since I was in Ethiopia and trained a dedicated team of trainers in trauma and stress management.

Like Afghanistan 10 years ago, the country has cast a spell over me. Or to put it another way: I have taken the country and its people to my heart and stay connected with the people I know there through Insta, Skype and Zoom.
And so it took an emotional toll on me when I heard that first too much rain and then a huge plague of locusts destroyed the harvests. And now corona.
Corona in Germany and Ethiopia
Here with us is called Corona:
- Contact ban and time to tidy up
- Home office and homeschooling
- Economic losses, but also a social network.
In Ethiopia is called Corona plus locust plague:

- Less income without a welfare system
- No money for luxuries like soap
- People are dying every day in Ethiopia. Not just from Covid-19, but from hunger!
My girlfriend Sarah has been living and working in Ethiopia since 2018. Together with her husband and local partners, she has developed the project Yebarki which helps needy families with food and hygiene articles.
It also strengthens the economy through direct purchases from local businesses.
I want to do something! But how, without money?
I wanted to support Sarah's project - but how?
Due to Corona, I myself had a huge loss of income because events and coaching were cancelled. You can't support anything from nothing.
Or is it?
I had an idea. I thought: When new people my offers like Books and Coaching discover, then I can afford to support the project. Everyone benefits.

So I decided in consultation with Sarah, my tidying up ebook (book summary by Marie Kondo and tips from me) with Sarah's project.
This is how it works: Whenever someone wants to free of charge Ebook as PDF downloads, I donate one euro to the project.
I will definitely do this for the first 1000 downloads. If I can afford it, even more than that.
One euro is roughly enough for a day's food for a family.
1000 euros = 30 families who receive hygiene articles and food for one month.
