American presidents seen
Today I’ve doubled the number of American presidents I’ve seen with my own eyes. A good 10 years ago, I had tickets to the „50 Years of the Berlin Airlift“ commemorative event, at which Bill Clinton spoke. Today, Obama was at the University of Texas here in Austin. As we happened to be in a coffee shop opposite the university at the time, we thought we might as well pop over to see him. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get into the building in time to hear the speech. Still, I thought it was cool. I certainly don’t get bored here.
Brilliant! You’re always in the right place at the right time, mate! I miss you already here in the Ozarks!
Maybe not always… but sometimes. And Obama keeps following me around… he was in New York when I was there, and as soon as I arrived in Austin, he turned up here too.
