Honouring and leaving parents
Yesterday I enjoyed celebrating my life from 11.00 in the morning until 1.00 this morning. It was good for me to have time for friends, conversations and good food.
Parents celebrate and leave
Two friends stayed the night and in the morning Miriam told them about her cosy breakfast on the balcony:
"I recently realised that God gives us the task of both honouring our parents and leaving them."
I find that a very exciting thought. Exciting also in the sense of a tension that needs to be endured and shaped.
