New trust - a journey to healing. Off to Antwerp

"All life is an encounter. I become you." - Martin Buber

It was terrible. More than 10 years ago, I was in one of the worst crises of my life. My trust in God, life and other people had suffered deep cracks. A huge disappointment had pulled the rug out from under my feet.

The journey to healing

During this dark time, I decided to withdraw for a while to see if I could regain my confidence. I was afraid of places that were too quiet - like a lonely hut or a monastery. So I went to one of my favourite cities: Antwerp in Belgium. Antwerp is a city I love - full of history, art and culture. The old town centre with its imposing market square and impressive cathedral attracts history buffs. Antwerp, the fashion capital, surprises with chic boutiques ranging from classy to trashy and trendy cafés - a paradise for treasure hunters like me.
Antwerp is also known for its culinary delights. From horse meat and fries to waffles and chocolate - the city spoils the senses of its visitors. Every bite is a journey through Belgium's rich culinary tradition.

In this city, I experienced how my confidence grew again - in quiet hours, but also in encounters with people, with the art and culture of this vibrant city. Martin Buber's words: "All life is an encounter. I become you." became a reality for me. Shaken trust was healed and strengthened. My basic trust in life grew considerably during this time.

Regaining lost trust

Almost everyone knows the feeling of broken trust - be it in others, in yourself, in God or in life in general.

Lost trust robs energy and has a negative effect on your own soul, also on your health and often poisons relationships.

Those who can trust, on the other hand, are emotionally stronger and healthier and experience better relationships. Trust is good for us. And the people around us.

The good news: trust can heal. As a coach, I have a lot of experience in helping people to heal and strengthen themselves internally.

I'll guide you through the city

The trip promises you cultural and culinary discoveries as well as space for personal growth and healing. Your confidence will experience healing, be strengthened and blossom again - inspired by the history, culture and vibrant atmosphere of this fascinating city.

Against the unique backdrop of Antwerp, I am now offering a special coaching trip. Three days with input in the morning, discovering the city during the day and time for a delicious meal and personal dialogue in the evening.
It is a unique opportunity to experience the historical treasures and modern facets of Antwerp and at the same time to grow in confidence and build strength.

Trust. A journey. 19-21 April 2024 in Antwerp

We will soon have our own info page for the trip. Here is some initial information.

The trip offers a mixture of input, exchange, delicious food and, above all, encounters. Together we will discover the highlights of this wonderful city - from Rubens to the harbour, from views to fashion.

We start on Thursday evening so that we have two full days for input, discovery and dialogue.

  • In the morning: Input on how trust can heal
  • During the day: Discover the city. Guided by me or professional tour guides, but also free time for your own discoveries
  • In the evening: Delicious food. Exchange. Community.

All inclusive: The trip is designed so that you don't have to worry about anything - apart from your journey. You can concentrate on your own processes and relax: All meals, drinks, entrance fees etc. are included in the price.

If you are interested and would like to find out more about the coaching journey, you can contact here on the list of interested parties and will soon receive more information about the programme, content and prices. You can register permanently here.

Tip:
Hurry, as the trip is limited to a maximum of 15 people. If the trip is well received, this coaching format will be offered more often. I am planning a trip to Iceland in June.
If you don't have time for travelling right now, then perhaps treat yourself to one or a a few coaching hours with me to heal and strengthen trust.

I'm looking forward to meeting you in Antwerp!

Why I am embarking on my first coaching journey

Inspiration against life blues

I found beauty in my brokenness when the vibrancy of the city hit my core. I have the confidence that in the mix of coaching, input, discovery and sharing, the same can happen for you.

Healing together - sharing my favourite city with others

It helps so much to see: I am not alone with my pain. What have others experienced, why are they embarking on this journey with me? It is more beautiful, together to heal. We want to have honest conversations from the heart and encourage each other on this journey, in beautiful restaurants, arty neighbourhoods or while walking along the river promenade. Refuel, let go and draw hope in order to return to our everyday lives stronger.

Rediscover beauty - widen your heart

I want us to learn to enjoy life, architecture and art, nature and the modernity of the vibrant city. In tears and laughter. In each other. Beauty instead of pain. Oil of joy instead of ashes. Daring the adventure of trusting anew together. Life is too short to close our hearts.

Further opportunities for encounters

If Antwerp is too short notice or you're looking for greater adventures, I'm planning a trip to Iceland in June. A trip where you will not only discover your life vision, but also the beauty of this island: Find out more about the Iceland trip.

Or if there is not enough time or budget for a longer trip, you can join one of the building camps in Berlin and help to make the second ship a reality as a place for energy and healing and experience a bit of healing yourself. You can find out more about the construction camps here.

Trust already now

By the way, even if your trust has been shaken, you already trust many things. You trust the railway to arrive, you trust me to provide helpful input and you trust the internet to work - most of the time. Think about where you already trust yourself and be happy about it!

I look forward to meeting you - in Antwerp and elsewhere!

Another thing: if you can't go to Antwerp right now, take a trip with my books:

I recommend you:

  • Self-confidence. A quadro about how you can strengthen your confidence in yourself.
  • The hut and me. Trusting God anew. A journey. In this book, I have described my journey of trust to Antwerp. A mixture of road movie and personal diary. It's also available as E-Bookif you want to read immediately.
  • I'll wait for you in the hut. A wonderful illustrated book that invites you to believe and trust. You get it here
