Berth there - mobile phone gone - and back again...
This week I was struck by the news that the mooring would not work out...actually everything was clear...only one pile (Dallen) had to be removed...but then came the news that permission would not be granted. So - starting all over again...after months of searching. What a frustration. As I was on my way to the ship by tram today, I thought: How nice it would be if I could just stay at my current work berth until the end of the year, until the rough construction work is completed. On the way to the ship, I met the owner of the boat factory where the ship was moored. Unaware of my thoughts, he said: „We've spoken again. We can grant your ship asylum here until April!“ What a relief! I think God heard my prayer...(and that of others), although I didn't pray out loud...I just sighed in my heart. But he hears that too... On the way home, my mobile phone fell out of my pocket...I noticed it after just a few hundred metres, drove back immediately - only to find that the Berlin city cleaning service had driven right behind me with a cleaning vehicle...sweeping away all the „rubbish“ and saying...I suspect that I won't see the good piece again... 10 minutes later: After I had tried unsuccessfully to call my mobile phone 10 times, a young man answered on the 11th time. Hello... „Oh... have you found my mobile phone!“ Yes, we're on a school trip here...found it....“
I'm going to pick it up tomorrow! What a relief! I had actually prayed that I would find it again!
