Coaching - in between

Professional, intensive coaching - whether for an hour or two or half a day or a whole day - has the power to provide guidance and change lives. I know this from my own experience - when I have been coached by professionals - and also from the feedback I have received from the people I have accompanied. A structured, focussed coaching process can achieve a great deal.

But in addition to „official“ coaching, there are also unplanned situations in which you speak into someone else's life. Recently, I was with friends. All I wanted was to spend a relaxed and enjoyable time with them. And that's what we had. Delicious food, good coffee, walks, cosy conversations on the couch.

I was all the more surprised when one friend told me that she had found answers to the questions that had been bothering her for a long time during her time with me:

- How can she lose weight effectively?

I had given her a book tip and tips from my own experience...she later wrote to me that she had already lost 1kg in the first few days...and was enjoying her new diet...

- What is she missing to enjoy life more?

I just told her about the things and topics that bring me a lot of joy right now: Fashion, design, art, pottering around, exploring...and she realised that she had been working hard over the last few years...and had neglected the things that were simply good for her soul. Even her recreational programme had been power cycling tours, there was little room for leisurely meandering.

What particularly touched and impressed me was....that it all just happened in passing. Somewhere in the course of the conversation, the topics came up, she found the answers she was looking for....and it didn't cost me a bit of energy. On the contrary: I love passing on the treasures of knowledge and experience that I have accumulated.

That's probably why I dream so much about my boat. The aim is that - in addition to seminars and focussed coaching - there will also be room for the unplanned: Conversations between door and door...or while fishing (or cooking).....Conversations in which people may find answers to the questions that move them...If so, fine. And if it's not life-changing and earth-shattering, it's just nice to have space to talk about what moves you.
