Grateful and hungry for more
The day began with a dream that - I'm still waiting for an answer - was perhaps a direction for two other people. And with an answer to prayer, an old friend who was laid off from his job got it back. I know that others have also contributed to this development through their commitment...I had a dream a few days ago and the specific prayers I prayed in response also contributed to the job gift as far as I can tell. Then I had it on my heart to encourage a particular woman, wrote her my impulse and she wrote me that she especially needed it that morning.
It's relatively easy for me. I've practised it, I've learnt a lot from books and others - now it feels like it just comes to me. But I think that's the case with all gifts that you've been given and then practised through training. Perhaps it can be compared to a channel that you have developed well and through which the water of God can flow relatively easily. I suspect that listening to God and responding to impulses will probably be the way God wants to use me most often in the future.
Rob Cresswell said that there are many Christian ministries here in England that deal with physical healing. But that only a few people train in prophetic hearing. Interesting. Just because I'm quite familiar with listening to God's voice in my neighbourhood doesn't mean it's the same elsewhere. I am grateful for that. Very grateful. Or at least relatively grateful, if I'm completely honest. Nevertheless, I am reaching out to be used by God in the area of healing and deliverance as well. Because it is so necessary in this world.
This morning, reflecting on the elements I experienced in Matthias' healing, I thought about how the gift of healing is perhaps nothing more than a mixture of compassion and faith. And, of course, God's work. You can certainly develop more compassion - it grows in me the more I read about how God heals people. And faith grows - through God's word and his actions. A few days ago, I prayed for a woman with stomach problems. I felt really sorry for her because her whole stomach was bloated. I prayed for her, but nothing happened immediately. But I was happy that she told me today that she was feeling much better. I was just happy.
Then I read the „Diary of Miracles“ by Aliss, where she writes down what she experienced with God for a whole year. She writes that she prayed for twelve years that God would use her to do the things that are promised to the disciples in the New Testament: Heal, deliver, lead to Jesus. And that she often made Tuesdays a day of fasting especially for this. And that at the beginning of 2009 she asked God to perform one miracle a day through her. From February 2009 - the year they opened their café in a run-down neighbourhood of Chester - the prayer was pretty much answered. I haven't counted, but it must have been 30 conversions and miracles a month.
Very often she tells of broken fingers or other finger problems that God has healed. I was particularly touched by the finger healings and thought that this might be an indication that God wants to use me to heal fingers today. And so I looked out for broken fingers in particular. But first I noticed a woman with walking problems. I asked what her problem was - arthritis - and whether I could pray for her - no! The next woman, who had a walking stick and whom I wanted to speak to, ran away before I got to her. I had simply waited too long.
A little girl who had a bruised finger that hurt her badly and her mother allowed me to pray for the girl. I couldn't say whether anything had happened immediately after the prayer, as I was called to my table by the waitress. But half an hour later, I saw her again on the way to the toilet and asked how her finger was. And she said „It's ok!“ And when I asked again if it still hurt, she said „It's fine!“ I'm amazed. Sounds like a start.
I then noticed that the waitress had joints that were completely overstretched and bent - her thumb bent backwards when she was carrying things. I asked her about it. If I understood her correctly, she had a condition called „hyperlaxia“, which leads to unstable joints and causes her pain. I prayed for her and asked her if she felt anything. She said no. I later wondered if she had pain in other parts of her body than her hands, such as her back, which is not held well by the soft joints. Be that as it may, I will continue to pray for Vivian.
As I was waiting for Sua outside the cathedral, I saw a woman smiling warmly at me but walking with a stoop. It touched me - and I ran after her and asked her if she had any physical problems. And that if she did, I would like to pray for her. She said no, that she was just old. But said that she had quite complex family problems. And was happy about prayer - she was obviously a believer herself. I prayed for physical energy anyway - it couldn't hurt. And then for the family. And also had a picture for the situation. She had tears on her face. And thanked me warmly.
Now I will pray a little more that I will experience more direct and immediate healing... the channel is not yet so far developed. if you like, you can pray for me.
I think today was just a normal day with Jesus.
Hello dear Kerstin,
I am following your report about your stay in England with great interest! When I just read that God might want to use you for the healing of fingers, it occurred to me that you might want to pray for my thumb joint. The doctor has diagnosed incipient osteoarthritis there, but it can't be operated on or treated in any other way. However, I am in a lot of pain, which is not really good, especially on my right hand...
I would be happy about prayer!
Kind regards,
Susanne Schmidt
Hello, dear Susanne.
Thank you for your warm feedback. The leaders here say that arthritis very often (not always) has a component of unforgiveness. So I would ask you to check again with Jesus if there is someone who has hurt and disappointed you and whom you have not yet forgiven. The „someone“ could also be yourself. If Jesus doesn't show anything, then don't dig. It's often like that, not always. If this is clear with Jesus, then you can simply tell the arthrosis to go away. It doesn't belong to you. And you don't need it. When you're through it, you can let me know and I'll join you in prayer.
Dear Kerstin,
Thank you for your feedback! I'll check it out - the unforgiveness thing might really be true.
Have a good time and lots of new experiences with God!
Susanne
You're welcome...and let me know when you're through with your processes, I'll stand with you for healing and release.
Dear Kerstin,
I want to get in touch with you again today. God spontaneously brought to my mind a situation where I was very hurt. I was able to forgive the person with all my heart because I really felt God's power at that moment.
Unfortunately, despite intensive prayer, the pain in my hand has not improved, let alone healed (friends have also prayed for me).
Kind regards,
Susanne
